You see, on this particular day, Maggie woke up and her first words were "I am not going to run bases today mom!"
Not only did she hit the ball...but she also ran to first base and made it!
She continued to run to second, then third...
So, why are looks deceiving? Because her coach had to run with her to first, coach her the rest of the way and that smile? Completely fake, ha!! In typical Maggie fashion, she was a grouch, but the second she saw the camera she started posing for it and smiling... oh Maggie... I was so overwhelmed on this particular day because she would NOT cooperate AT ALL! But, you would never have known that by looking at these pictures right?
I love this girl, even though she is a ball of anxiety and frustration for me some days because she always manages to pull out that smile, or hug, or kiss or those 3 words that melt me every time, "I love you momma!"
My dad is in Iraq, and follows my blog but for some reason cannot comment on it, that is frustrating... Anyway, I wanted to post the comment he emailed me regarding this post
ReplyDelete"I'll try this, Heidi, but I still thing the site monitor doesn't like me :-) Maggie's not unlike any one of us, really. How many times I've said, especially here, I just will not ... but I do. Check out the parable of the two sons (Matt 21:28-31) - it's much better for a "Maggie" to say "I won't" and then she does it, than to say "I will" and then not ... "
love, dad
Oh Heidi. She is a cutie-pie. She is your clone. I saw the last picture of her and I gasped and said, " Oh, Trey she looks just like Heidi." Yes, our babies can try us, but the rewards are so worth the trials. They are such a blessing. Oh and what your daddy said is spot on. He is such a man blessed with wisdom. Praise the Lord. ~Jacquie. (Am I supposed to put my name. LOL
